1. Who are we?

We are a family run,  independently owned, specialist exterior wall coatings company. We deal solely in exterior building and construction projects, mainly refurbishing external walls of all shapes and sizes.

We are NOT a franchise of a larger company, and thus we are able to uphold the highest levels of quality of performance and service. We have been involved in exterior house painting and long life wall coatings since 1986.

2. Where are we?

Our head office is in Valencia, and we have other branches and agents in: COSTA BLANCA: Javea, Denia and Alicante. COSTA DEL SOL, GIBRALTAR AND COSTA DE LA LUZ:  Malaga.

3. What do we do?

We paint the exteriors of houses! We also supply and install a range of top quality Exterior Wall coatings using the latest  weatherproof long life paints, in a range of textures and colours, suitable for all exterior wall surfaces!

Our projects commonly include repairing the external walls of buildings in Spain of all ages and construction types, and applying spray wallcoatings to private houses like yours. We also paint commercial buildings such as bars, public houses, restaurants, office buildings, warehouse complexes, places of education and worship and multi-use buildings. NO JOB TOO LARGE!

4. How do we do it?

Our expert teams repair the exterior of your house or other building and apply, by a special environmentally friendly spray machine, a long life protective wall coating as an alternative to yearly re painting. The wall coating stops damp, doesn’t fade and is not broken down by the hot Spanish sun which means it does not have to be redone again for around 15 years.

6. How much does it cost?

Well, you may have guessed that we cannot give an exact price on this site as to be honest we have to see the house in question as there are lots of different factors related to pricing up a house that needs painting.

The factors we have to consider to give you a price for a wall coating paint scheme.

The size of the exterior wall area to be painted is the major factor (which can differ from the actual size of the house, for example a house may have large areas of cladding or windows etc, and despite it being a large  property, the actual area of wall may not be that large.)

The present condition of the house has to be examined also, or at least the condition of whatever exterior wall covering (if any) is currently on the outside of the house: Are there cracks, hollow or loose render, bald or loose pebbledash or tyrolean, spalled bricks, loose stones and a host of other things.

Damp.!! If the house you want a price for, has damp, this also needs to be sorted before we can paint it.

Access to the house: Is the property very tall? Is it up several flights of stairs? Is it on a narrow lane where we need to apply to your council to close the road? This is also a factor, i.e., how easy is it for us to work on your house?

Additional work: Many homeowners are surprised that we can do additional work to our normal rendering and painting service, such as fitting UPVC replacement windows, installing a new door, fixing your roof for example

So in order to give you a price, we have to have a look at the house first and like many places in Spain, especially houses or villas in “the campo”, directions are needed from you in order for us to be able to find the property!

7. How do I arrange a free survey of my house in Spain?

8. What currencies do you accept?

As we are part of a larger group, we are happy to accept payment for work in either UK pounds sterling, Gibraltar pounds or Euros.

9. What areas of Spain do you cover?

Our house painting service is available to homeowners from an area stretching from Castellon, down through the costa azahara, Costa Blanca, Costa Levante, Costa Murcia, Costa Del Sol, to the Costa De La Luz and all areas inland too. 12. How do you apply your wall coatings paint?

• We carry out all external building repairs such as re-rendering, fixing cracks, injecting damp proof courses where needed etc.
• We then temporarily mask up all doors, pipes and windows, still allowing access to and from the building, and then lay lots of dustsheets to protect paths, lawns, patio areas etc.
• We then hand or spray apply a special primer coat. This is partially absorbed into the building, sealing any microscopic areas that damp and moisture could penetrate. At this stage, the building is NOT “sealed up” and with micro porous technology, is able to fully “breathe” as per building regulations.
• We then apply our flexible top coat with a special industrial spray machine we have specially imported from the United States. This is a specialist machine and can only be used by those with years of experience and special training. The final coat is fused onto the wall at up to 20 times the thickness of a normal paint film.
• We then remove all the masking and clean up with a final quality inspection before we finish. We can also repaint your Rejas (window grilles) as required.
• After this whole process is completed, you would be walked around your newly refurbished home with the installation crew supervisor. Provided you are fully satisfied, we ask you to complete a satisfaction survey and then to pay us the final balance.
• All of our teams are factory trained, highly skilled, courteous and helpful. Each of our operatives are skilled builders in their own right Please ask for further details.
• You would receive a further site visit after the job has finished as a courtesy call and for us to inspect the installation of our wallcoatings on your home. This is also to satisfy ourselves that each and every installation meets with our strict quality control guidelines. You would be issued with your personalised 15 year written guarantee shortly after.

13. What properties will you NOT work on?

We will not work on homes which are subject to land or ownership disputes, not houses that are in a structurally dangerous condition. We also do not work on wooden buildings.

14. So if I contact you, what happens next?

• We speak to you 1st (by phone or email) at your request, to find out your exact requirements and give you ample time to check us out, maybe follow up references given to you by us, or go and look at one of our installations.
• We then arrange a date and time to visit you in your home and survey your building (FREE of charge) and prepare a written specification and quote for you. This can take as little as 30 minutes to a maximum 2 hours depending on size of building.
• We point out any problems you may have on the outside of your house such as hollow render, pebbledash or cracks etc. and explain what has happened and how we can fix it.
• We then show you samples of our product and photos of previous jobs.
• We then calculate a total price for you which is in writing and is a guaranteed price with no hidden charges or surprises.
• You do not have to make a decision on the day and are under no obligation to do so, however if you like what you see and the price is right, it does help us get things moving quicker if you do tell us on the day we see you. If you are chasing quotes from other companies, I would suggest calling us LAST as our PRICE PROMISE means that wherever possible we will beat any price given by a competitor for a similar service to ours.
• If you decide to go ahead and have the work done, we prepare some simple paperwork with you, outlining exactly what work we are doing for you for a fixed price. We then take photographic records of the present state of your house. You may then also choose from a range of 12 standard colours, or over 4,000 specially made colours.

15. I have read some stories in the Expat news about Never Paint Again, is this you?

NO! I cannot stress enough, we are not, and have NEVER BEEN anything to do with a now defunct comapny called Never Paint Again SL. We are NOT them!

These people, from the evidence shown to us, are fly by night cowboys, it could be suggested. We dont know who they are, or were, and have never met them!

We have lost count of the amount of people who have phoned us here in Valencia, or emailed us with complaints about the company and their shoddy work. If you have a guarantee with them, it is not our responsibility to honour it as we are not them!!!! If you have a wall coating on your house and it is failing, eg coming off the walls, we are happy to look at it and give you a price to re-do the entire house, but that is the limit of how we can help on this occasion.

16. Do you sub contract your work?

We do, as per most companies large and small, sub contract some of our work from time to time to vetted and registered contractors. This is often when we receive an order for work that is outside of our normal working area. Any contract or agreement you make with them is between you and them and not us. If you request additional works, such as driveways, swimming pools and such like, this may also be sub contracted.

19. Never paint again? Surely you don’t mean never ever do you?

Of course we don’t mean never ever, nothing lasts forever, but our coatings far outlast tyrolean wall finishes, masonry paint finishes and so on, in fact in many cases, up to 25 years. The author of this website can show examples of homes he has sprayed 22 years ago where the coating is still firmly affixed to the wall. We had our trade mark and company name double-checked by the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) in Great Britain to ensure it complied with trading standards and consumer law. There are other companies in the past who have falsely made claims it last for ever, of course it doesn’t, but it lasts long enough.
